So... Let me get this straight. McPain camp harks on relative non-story smears about Ayers and Wright. They purposely use his middle name and associations to whip up the hateful fringe and then they whine about Rick Sanchez story about AIG this afternoon??!!
Not to mention, they harp on Barack's ties to FMFM, but get pissy when their own questionable connections are called out??!
How about the story that a major member of their transition team lobbied for Saddam Hussein??!
Dude..this is getting waaaaay too easy.

God (or Allah, or Buddah or the Great Spaghetti Monster...) Bless Campbell Brown at CNN.
So what if Obama was Arab or Muslim? So what if John McCain was Arab or Muslim? Would it matter? When did that become a disqualifier for higher office in our country? When did Arab and Muslim become dirty words? The equivalent of dishonorable or radical?
Exactly. bdCurrent Mood: OK Current Music: CNN

Thank God for Jon Stewart and the Daily Show staff. Swift would be proud!
And now some homework for tonights debate.... Ten claims McCain will make on his foreign policy with rebuttals.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/max-bergmann/10-claims-john-mccain-wil_b_129614.html How to rate the debate.http://www.prospect.org/cs/articles?article=how_to_score_the_foreign_policy_debate
So now it looks like the non-suspension suspension of the campaign, the gamble of strident, erratic, politically motivated acting and divisive grandstanding, McCranky has to face Obama. Hold on to your seats! I suspect many pundits will give McCain a pass on a ho-hum performance due to his "focus on solving our crisis". We shall see.... bd

You may have to scroll down Times page and look for Sarah Silverman video.
I would embed this, but there wasn't a link. You must see Sarah Silverman hawk Obama to Jewish elders. Awesome. bd

Dear American: I need to ask you to support an urgent secret business relationship with a transfer of funds of great magnitude. I am Ministry of the Treasury of the Republic of America. My country has had crisis that has caused the need for large transfer of funds of 800 billion dollars US. If you would assist me in this transfer, it would be most profitable to you. I am working with Mr. Phil Gram, lobbyist for UBS, who will be my replacement as Ministry of the Treasury in January. As a Senator, you may know him as the leader of the American banking deregulation movement in the 1990s. This transactin is 100% safe. This is a matter of great urgency. We need a blank check. We need the funds as quickly as possible. We cannot directly transfer these funds in the names of our close friends because we are constantly under surveillance. My family lawyer advised me that I should look for a reliable and trustworthy person who will act as a next of kin so the funds can be transferred. Please reply with all of your bank account, IRA and college fund account numbers and those of your children and grandchildren to wallstreetbailout@treasury.gov so that we may transfer your commission for this transaction. After I receive that information, I will respond with detailed information about safeguards that will be used to protect the funds. Yours Faithfully Minister of Treasury Paulson

OK..a final thought on a subject that has been garnering way too much attention. The self-described "Pit Bull w/ lipstick": Sarah Palin is not a safe choice for our country. Click and read....
I guess it would be foolhardy to underestimate the intangibles...the unfettered need to be right..to win at any cost....uber-partisan leanings hiding under the guise of nationalism...cult of personality (Hunter Godess / Fertile Mother-Lover)... BUT.. For all the uproar and media storm, the GOP pick of Palin is merely a cynical political move to maintain control...party above country. Playing chicken with our nation. Mobilizing the frothy mouthed culture warriors to trample the starry eyed REAL promoters of change. We still have close to 2 months. It is time to shift the conversation back to Obama vs MCCAIN...dismiss Palin for what she is...a dangerous symbol of the future path of the last 8 years.

| » Ummm...did McCain call her in an Ambien trance? |
Checking my homepage Google news reader today, my groggy eyes spy multiple "McCain picks Palin" headlines, and my even groggier mind thinks "Micheal Palin is a Republican? He's not even an American..." After caffeine and research, my more energized state of mind has made the decision... Micheal Palin would have been a better choice. Really?? A 1 term governor with NO foreign policy experience? A semi attractive haus frau as a substitute for Hillary's formidable campaign and career? Cindy should be worried..I mean..she's no lobbyist, but McCain doesn't seem above anything anymore. Maybe this is just a Monty Python sketch. Could just be Karl Rove in drag, trying to slither back into the White House, just waiting to poison Methuselah's Ensure and finally become King of the Warrior Playground... With all this Gustav bullshit, I really needed a laugh this morning...thanks Johnny Boy. Keep overplaying the POW card and letting the puppet masters pull the strings. Maverick my ass. heh. bd
