I love how the nature of political debate has devolved to insult and talking points. No real battle of minds to a defendable position, no give and take..just name calling, finger pointing and righteous proclamations. I blame it on the marketing of the political process. Sound bite campaigns, big money risks...packaging candidates like any other product..demographics and target markets. Decisions made on future electability and not deep seated conviction. It is time for real campaign reform. Though I am uneasy with Obama opting out of public financing, we all know that system was pretty much broken beyond repair. And though I agree with a certain amount of stability, maybe it is time for term limits, at least in the House, which is supposed to be the most in touch branch.."supposed" the operative word. Now.. Let it fly... heh. bd

Really? So, your candidate lost the primary, so you'll cross party lines to vote against base interests in order to make a point. Please. Don't even vote. Stay home. This isn't a zero-sum game/winner take all contest. Just because you have the right to vote, doesn't mean you SHOULD. Too many petty and stupid votes are worse than not voting. Damn. bdCurrent Mood: irritated Current Music: MSNBC
