More fun quotes from da TeeVee...
"He is a very thoughtful thinker..."
Rep Marsha Blackburn on MSNBC re: McCain

Heh. As opposed to a thoughtless thinker? I guess this is another ruse designed to separate McSame from McBush. Where do they find these idiots?
But I am starting to realize that my natural unease of anyone successful within the political spectrum, no matter what side/party/platform they represent, are inherently a product of said system and therefore still diseased to the core. I have been a hesitant Obama supporter as this cycle has progressed. He seemed to me to be a repudiation of the status quo version of government. His message was affirmative and I am a fan of his oration style.
But..
Then the AIPAC speech..
Then his FISA stance...
Then his comments on the gun control ruling...
Now I realize in order to change the rules of a game, with the intent of winning, you still have to follow the hard and fast rules, while slowly shifting the style of play, but I am getting a sense of unease from the Junior Senator. Is he playing to the center to win, with the intention of remaining true to his beginning agenda or is the system molding him into yet another empty suit to be filled by others?
We shall see.

Obama 08?

The only checks and balances left in the system are check books and account balances.

The War profiteers and Terrorists are the same..they both kill innocent people in the name of profits/prophets.

I don't know much about her really..just heard the comment and couldn't help but laugh. Considering her platforms, I am surprised she drinks the McCain Kool Aid...

Although you might be surprised, Rep. Blackburn's comment does make sense although it comes off as a little awkward. However, I do want to mention that your commentary, particularly the "The War profiteers and Terrorists are the same" is uninformed drivel. I understand and empathize with your concerns about the role of money in politics, but for God's sake stop the nonsense. How far left can one go? My prescription for you, sir: find a decent source of information other than Keith Olbermann or Kos; take to heart daily.

Nice. Rather than defend your argument, you resort to snarky insult and name calling. You people have had the reins for a while now, and look at the hole we are in. I think it is YOU who need to stop the nonsense. I'm sure Fox and O'Hannitybaugh are a more informed source. I'll check 'em out and get back to you...

My views are informed by multiple news sources, both domestic and foreign, a healthy dose of logic, skepticism and a lingering humanist streak. Wordplay provided by the comedy filter...if you actually knew me, this would have been obvious.
