At least it ain't boring...life, that is..
A funny discussion with a buddy at the bar last night involved the concept of "mid-life crisis". Now, first off, unless there are major advancements in the health care system, I have probably passed the "mid" part. The biggest difference, though, is that I think people like us...those who are actually living and pursuing and chasing the brass ring, don't really have the same sort of "I-didn't-live-my-life-gotta-bust-out-of-the-grind" style of male mental menopause. Ours is more of a realization that living and acting young doesn't slow the inexorable decline of the meat machine that the mind drives. Peter pans whose voices are cracking and chins sprouting whiskers. I have frozen my mental age image at 27-30. That will not change. My curiosity and love of experience is NOT frozen. But damn...getting out of bed after a long night!
Fucking meat. Damn gravity.
Come on science!!!

Tony Clifton tonight, then off to the set for my major film debut! What is Spanish for "masturbation"?

You know what's interesting? I think the midlife crisis is actually much later. Mid-life, as defined by Graham Greene in Travels with my Aunt, is closer to late 50s or 60, and whether or not you believe in planets influencing us, this is the time of the second Saturn return (the first being somewhere in the range of ~30, which is still certainly affecting me).

The other thing I can recommend is the hangover cure that my old housemate used to drink BEFORE bed instead of waiting till the morning, which I told him about. A jug of water, some squirts of lime or lemon juice (detox), a pinch of cayenne (related to aspirin), and enough honey to flavor (need to replace sugars/electrolytes/whathaveyou).

Yeah...bit of a misnomer. I'll definitely try that cure! We should pre-mix and market that!
Stay safe doll

I don't know why, but I felt the need to look it up. I don't know what any of these mean, but here they are:

* Haciendo una pajita
* Hacieno jacketas de cuero
* Jalandose
* Jalarle el cuello al ganso
* Punetas
* Acogotando el ganso

Yes I did! It's great! One of these days we are going to get back down there and hang out. Had a check up with the kidney doctor about 2 weeks ago...almost 100% kidney function with only 1 kidney. All the numbers were right where they need to be.
